Missing group of eight rescued at sea: Police

Eight Fiji men who went missing at sea yesterday afternoon have been rescued near Ovalau says assistant police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri.

“All have been rescued, all are well and they are in Levuka right now,” Sokomuri told FijiLive.

He said the eight were traveling in a fiberglass boat from Suva and encountered engine problems in Levuka-i-Gau yesterday.

Police are urging members of the public to be prepared before going out to sea.
