The father and son charged with attempted murder of a Fiji policeman appeared in the Magistrate court in Suva this afternoon.
Tevita Seru (father) and Anasa Baleiduadua (son) were both denied bail by magistrate Kurukula Nanayakkara.
The State lawyer said this was a serious offense and that a police officer was injured in the execution of his duty thus they be remanded in custody.
Seru and Baleiduadua are alleged to have struck Constable Prasad after a heated argument outside the Raiwaqa police station in Grantham road on Friday.
According to police, both men were drunk at the time of the incident.
The police officer is recovering at Suva’s Colonial War Memorial hospital with major head injuries.
The case has been adjourned to this week Friday.
