Fiji police are investigating the discovery of a partly decomposed body in the Sigatoka River.
Police said Nawamagi villagers found the body floating in the nearby river yesterday after going out to investigate a foul stench from the river.
The body is yet to be identified and is at the Sigatoka hospital morgue awaiting post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, a 23-year-old man drowned in the Koro Sea on Saturday while on a diving trip with fellow villagers.
The men were spear diving when the accident happened.
The death toll from drowning now stands at 16.
