The Nadi Weather office has confirmed that the trough of low pressure over the country is likely to weaken by Wednesday.
Director Rajendra Prasad confirmed that the trough lies over the central part of the country.
“This is why people in the central division will be experiencing heavy rainfall at times with interior parts of Viti Levu being affected most,” he told FijiLive.
Prasad added those living in the low-lying areas may be subjected to flooding today.
“There will be some moist conditions but we can expect sunshine by mid-week,” Prasad said.
