An officer of the Fiji Courts pleaded guilty Friday for accepting a bribe of $100 from a client.
Niraj Singh admitted the offence before Justice Priyantha Fernando.
The Court heard Singh received the money from a Navanita Devi who had lodged a case with the Small Claims Tribunal in Suva.
Singh promised Devi he could expedite her case for her for a fee.
Defense counsel John Rabuku asked the Court for leniency saying his client was the sole bread winner having to support a family with three young children.
He also said Singh was remorseful for his actions.
The case will be heard again on March 19 for sentencing.
