The control and prevention of non-communicable and communicable diseases, health promotion and immunisation/vaccination programmes were among issues discussed at a Public Health symposium that ended in Suva today.
The Ministry of Health event also talked about mental health and how it should be tackled.
The meeting brought together divisional and sub-divisional health workers who held discussions on ways to improve health services to the public.
Resolutions from the discussions would form the basis of the Ministry’s Corporate Plan concerning Public Health and its related programs.
