Fiji Police officers raided a video shop in Suva yesterday after receiving complaints pirated videos were being sold there.
Assistant police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri told FijiLive they also confiscated CDs and a copying machine at premises in Yatulau Arcade opposite the Suva Bus Stand rented out by Movie World.
“A complaint was lodged to police that the video shop was involved with piracy and we acted accordingly.”
The shop owner is being questioned by Police while no charges have been laid.
Police have been vigilant in enforcing ‘new anti-piracy laws’ that came into effect last year.
