Five of the seven people, including a juvenile, charged with harbouring prisoners were today granted bail by Suva Magistrate Janaka Bandara.

Taniela Yauyau, Laisa Elder, Unaisi Ciri, Merewalesi Sukadimuri as well as the juvenile were granted bail in the sum of $500.

They were ordered not to re-offend, not to interfere with witnesses and to report to the nearest Police Station every Saturdays between 9am and 5pm.

They are due to appear again on 6 November for mention.

Two other accused, Livai Nabulu and Epeli Qaqa were remanded in custody after their bail applications were objected by prosecution because of pending cases against them.
