Miss Teen Supermodel and Miss Teen Australia, Michaela Swamy holds a soft spot in her heart for Fiji, the country of birth of her father.

The 17- year- old who was one of the invited guests for the 2012 Miss India Pageant which concluded last night was today officially announced as a brand ambassador for Tappoos Group.

Speaking to FijiLive today, Swamy said Fiji is like a second home to her as she often visits her paternal relatives in Olosara, Sigatoka ever since she was young.

“I love Fiji, I love its cultural atmosphere and everything it has in store for everybody that visits,” Swamy said.

Commenting on the standard of the pageant last night, Swamy said that the competition amongst the ten mesmerizing girls was intense and she nearly came on her toes when the finalists were being announced.

“The girls portrayed the richness of Indian culture so perfectly that I felt like I was India,” Swamy said laughingly.

Swamy also stated that she will take any opportunity that comes her way to fly Fiji’s noble banner blue.

The teenage beauty is expected to return for the Fiji Fashion Week next month.

Swamy and her mum Simmone will depart our shores on Wednesday.
