A 57-year-old man of Vunivau, Labasa this morning axed his 53-year-old wife and his 93-year-old father-in-law to death. He saw the suspect striking a 23-year old woman with an axe outside the house. He tried to intervene but was also struck by the suspect, however he escaped injuries. The 23-year-old victim received injuries to her head and is admitted at the Labasa Hospital while the suspect is also admitted for hypertension and is under police guard as investigations continue.
