In the lead up to the crowning in China last night, Vakaloloma made the semi finals of the Beach Beauty competition which he described as a big breakthrough for her and Fiji.
Koini Vakaloloma replaced the winner of the 2012 Miss World Fiji, Torika Watters, 16, who was considered too young for the world pageant.
Vakaloloma is on her way back to Fiji and is due to arrive at the Nadi Airport tomorrow.
