An export consignment containing 26 undeclared gold bars was detained by Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority (FRCA) on Monday afternoon in Suva.

FRCA chief executive Jitoko Tikolevu in statement said the total weight of the gold bars was 2,385 grams (2.3 kilograms).

Tikolevu said investigations are continuing.
