A number of residents in Ba are pleading to the government to restore water as soon as possible.
Speaking to FijiLive a resident Yunus Ali from Yaladro in Ba said they have been without drinking water since the last three days.
“We also don’t have water to wash our houses and cooking utensils,” said Ali.
He said the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) has not carted water ever since water supply was disrupted.
“We are using water from nearby drain to wash some of our household items but unfortunately can’t use it for drinking,” said Ali.
He said his family cannot afford to buy bottled water.
Villages from Moto area, Ba Town, Nailaga and Navala also shared the same sentiments.
Meanwhile WAF said their operations team is currently working to restore water in the affected areas.
