A total of 40 people consisting of cast and crew from a renowned South Indian movie production house Tollywood are in the country to begin their film production.

Speaking to FijiLive acting chief executive for Fiji Audio Visual Commission (FAVC) Florence Swamy confirmed the movie will be produced by the international award winning film company Gemini Films.

Swamy said the film will be shot for 30 days in Nadi and 10 days in Suva.

The details of the film have been withheld at this stage.

She said they are currently hiring local junior artists and dancers to feature in the film.

“Locals who think they have talents to dance and act can come for auditions today at the FAVC office in Suva,” Swamy said.

She said the production company has also eyed some more feature films that would also be shot in Fiji in time to come.

Swamy said finer details of the film will be released shortly.

The industry in recent time has been brought under the spot light for its blockbuster releases.
