Police monitors internet shops closely

Police will be closely monitoring all internet shops in Fiji to see school children do not misuse the services.

This after police noted that a lot of children are seen in internet shops late at night.

Police spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said parents should know where their children are at night.

Parents have been reminded to look after their children who use internet.

Inspector Sokomuri said some internet shops operate on a 24 hour basis and parents are to give their children the right advice so that they don’t go to the internet shops unnecessarily.

He said the police will be constantly monitoring all internet shops around the country and those children found misusing the service will be severely dealt with.
