Fiji police have arrested two farmers in the highlands of Navosa for allegedly cultivating marijuana.
Assistant police spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri told FijiLive the two are believed to be the owners of the farms raided by police last week.
More than 2000 plants believed to be marijuana were uprooted in the raid last week.
The plants are estimated to be worth millions of dollars.
“We are still questioning them and will lay charges once we receive the analysis report of the plants that were uprooted,” he said.
