The Fiji government has postponed indefinitely consultations it was scheduled to have with media organisations this week on a media decree.
Permanent secretary for Information, Lieutenant Colonel Neumi Leweni told FijiLive that government’s main priority at this stage was to deal with the devastation caused by Cyclone Tomas.
“We are in the stages of assessing damage caused by the cyclone and once that priority area is cleared, will we look at the consultations,” he said.
The consultations were to have begun on Wednesday.
