The National Disaster Management office is right now working on the provision of tents, which is the immediate need in cyclone-hit islands.
Operations officer Anthony Blake said they were making every effort now in the provision of relief especially tarpaulins.
“It must be noted that tents are quite hard to come by now because we also have had other disasters in places like Chile and Haiti that have strained the demand on the global supply, so they are quite difficult to sought at the moment.
“So we are looking at ways of doing it for Fiji,” Blake said.
As well, it has been confirmed that other international missions have pledged assistance for Fiji.
