Customers of the Bank of South Pacific (BSP) in Fiji will be able to enjoy SMS banking in Fiji in a month or two.
BSP country manager Kevin McCarthy today said that through the innovation, customers will be able to transfer money via SMS which he said will make transactions a lot easier for them.
“This service is designed to give our customers convenient instant access to banking services and an insight into the many new product developments to come,” he added.
McCarthy said BSP would be introducing more new innovations following their takeover of the Colonial Banking Group earlier this year.
Other new services in the next few months will include customers being able to top-up their electricity and telecom bills via SMS.
