Schools in the Central, Western and Northern divisions resumed classes Wednesday morning since they were shut last Friday.
Public transport providers have also reactivated their services and civil servants are back at work.
Businesses around the country have normalized and banks have reopened their doors.
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama who declared the Northern division a “disaster area” yesterday has given the all clear for damage assessment teams to travel to areas most affected by Tomas, that include the North, Lomaiviti and Lau groups.
Two naval ships are on standby waiting to take much needed supplies to these areas.
At last check 8am Wednesday, Fiji Navy commanders were still assessing sea conditions since Tomas was still hanging around Fiji waters at 7am.
Senior weather forecater Matt Boterhoven told FijiLive Tomas was moving fast at 31kmph with winds of 140kmph as it travels further southward away from Fiji.
“Fiji is now out of danger,” he said.
