The official death toll from the 8.8-magnitude earthquake in Chile and the tsunami it unleashed rose to 802 on Wednesday, the country's national emergency office said.
The majority of the new deaths recorded Wednesday were in the Maule region -- where nearly 600 people were confirmed dead after Saturday's quake.
Earlier, the office confirmed 92 deaths in Bio Bio, 48 in O'Higgins, 38 in the capital's metropolitan area, 20 in Valparaiso and 14 in Araucania.
