Man in hospital after nightclub stabbing

A 23 year-old man is in hospital after being stabbed during a drinking party at a Nausori night club on Thursday night.

Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed a 22 year-old suspect is in custody at the Nausori Police Station for the alleged attack.

“The alleged incident took place when an argument developed between the two who were drinking in a nightclub in Nausori,” he said.

Sokomuri said the suspect allegedly broke a beer bottle and stabbed the victim who

received serious injuries and has been admitted at the Nausori hospital.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Nausori Magistrates Court on

Tuesday facing one count of Act with Intent to cause grevious bodily harm.
