Fiji’s Citizen’s Constitutional Forum (CCF) has welcomed the Government’s participation at the recent United National Human Rights Council Universal Periodic Review (UPR).
Fiji was reviewed in Geneva on February 11.
CCF chief executive Rev Akuila Yabaki who was present at the meet, said the three-hour session was done through interactive dialogue where the Fiji delegation responded to questions asked by UN member country representatives.
Fiji is among 16 countries whose human rights record was reviewed.
The Fiji delegation was led by Ambassador Peceli Vocea.
