Woman charged with stabbing 50-year-old

Fiji police have charged a 32-year-old house wife with stabbing a 50-year-old farmer in Tailevu at the weekend.

Police assistant spokesman Sergeant Suliano Tevita said it is alleged that the woman stabbed the man with a kitchen knife after an argument between the two.

The man suffered severe injuries to his hands and head and is admitted at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital.

The woman is expected to appear in the Nausori Magistrates Court today.

Both she and the victim are from the same village in Tailevu.
