Florida police are trying to find out how three young teenage girls were hit and killed by a train at the weekend.
Investigators told My Fox news the teens were walking with a teenage boy when they decided to cross the train tracks early on Saturday night.
Sky news reported the boy had gone ahead of the girls and made it safely to the other side when he saw the train approaching.
The girls were reportedly joking around and taking pictures on a narrow bridge when they were struck from behind. They were killed as the boy watched helplessly.
Police initially believed the girls may have fallen into a nearby river.
A short time later however, their bodies were found on the tracks.
