Flanked by security, pop star Rihanna arrived in Sydney yesterday and accepted a bouquet of flowers for Valentine’s Day, the Daily Telegraph reports.
She is reported to be on a three-day visit to promote her album, Rated R, and new single, Rude Boy.
Wearing a black studded leather hat, puff-sleeved tunic top, black leggings and boots, the Barbadian superstar accepted flowers from one eager fan before she was whisked away by her security detail.
The 21-year-old told said she was happy to be in Australia and hoped to have fun.
As well as conducting key media interviews, Rihanna will attend an exclusive VIP party at hot Sydney nightspot Ivy tomorrow night.
She was believed to have spent yesterday resting after her long-haul flight from Japan.
The pop star - famous for hits Umbrella and Don't Stop The Music - last visited Australia in November, 2008 as part of her Good Girl Gone Bad World Tour, sharing the stage with then boyfriend, fellow singer Chris Brown.
The high-profile pair split in February when Brown was charged with assaulting Rihanna the day before the Grammy Awards.
She is now rumoured to be dating baseballer Matt Kemp.
Rated R was released in November, peaking at number 15 on the local ARIA charts.
