Fiji’s Police Drug Unit uprooted 26 more marijuana plants from the highlands of Navosa this week.
While police did not have a figure on the street value of the drugs, assistant spokesman Sergeant Suliano Tevita said the plants ranged from 10 centimeters to one meter in height.
“No arrests have been made yet as we are still trying to identify the owner and the investigation is continuing,” he told FijiLive.
In late December last more than $2.3 million worth of marijuana plants were raided in Navosa and other raids in late November led to discovery of marijuana plants worth a street value of $100 million.
Tevita said the Police Drug Unit is focused on carrying out more drug raids in the interior of Viti Levu.
