Police have made no arrests in the early morning robbery at the New World Supermarket branch in Narere where thieves took off with $29,000.
Assistant spokesman Sergeant Suliano Tevita said the three men allegedly involved are still at large.
“Three masked men entered the supermarket at around 11 am yesterday and threatened the cashiers and customers.
“They then took off with a bag containing $29,000 in cash which was ready for banking,” Tevita confirmed.
Eyewitnesses say the robbers sped off in a stolen vehicle registration EZ 472.
Police believe the original number plate was EZ 172.
