A car-sized panel belonging to a cargo plane fell from the sky and crashed Friday into a mall parking lot, startling shoppers but causing no injuries or damage, local media reported.
The panel was part of a Boeing 747 owned by Atlas Airlines, which was landing in Miami on a trip from Santiago de Chile, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
The plane had no problems landing, the FAA said.
The panel crashed to the ground between two empty parking spaces, TV images showed.
