US band Kings of Leon scored an upset victory to win the Grammys Record of the Year for their hit single "Use Somebody."
Beyonce had been widely expected to prevail in the awards blue ribbon category for her single "Halo" after having already won five Grammys earlier in the show.
Instead it was the Kings of Leon who prevailed, beating out other nominees who included the Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift.
