Fiji’s road death toll now stands at six following the death yesterday of a 65-year-old man involved in a road accident in the Nausori Highlands on Friday.
Police said the man and five others were in a vehicle traveling from the Nausori Highlands towards Nadi when the driver lost control and the vehicle went off the road.
The other passengers and the driver were treated for minor injuries at the Nadi Hospital.
The 65-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was later transferred to the Lautoka Hospital.
The road death toll at this time last year stood at four.
