A married Australian couple has been arrested over the discovery of an Indian man’s body found slashed and partially burnt beside a rural road in south-west New South Wales.
News.com.au reports that according to police, Ranjodh Singh, 25, was murdered and his body dumped beside Wilga Rd, Willbriggie, in the Riverina.
A passer-by found the body on December 29.
Police have arrested a 23-year-old man and his 20-year-old wife in Sydney.
Australian media outlets have reported a post-mortem examination revealed Singh's throat was slashed and he suffered multiple stab wounds before he was bound and set alight.
The seasonal contract worker and Indian national was living in Wagga Wagga and had been visiting Griffith at the time of his death, police said earlier in their investigation.
