Police have expressed concern over the drowning of a one-year-old baby while under the care of his grandmother.
The incident, according to police spokesman Suliano Tevita, occurred at a village in Rewa.
It’s understood the boy’s parents left him in the care of his grandmother while they were out.
The boy’s grandmother found the toddler’s body only minutes later, floating in a nearby pond.
Police have renewed their advise to all parents to be more vigilant in taking care of their children to avoid such incidences.
