Fiji pilgrim dies in India

A Fiji pilgrim has died in India after he slipped in a bathroom and suffered head injuries, police said here today.

The Press Trust of India reports Abdul Rehman, 69, had gone to India on a tourist visa on Saturday along with some family members, to offer ‘chadar' at the shrine of Syed Salar Masood Ghazi in the district of Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh.

Rahman's family said he died yesterday because of head injuries he suffered after he fell in the bathroom of a house where they were staying.

The body was handed over to the family after the post mortem. They buried him at the Idgah burial ground.
