A South African man described on Twitter the moment a tourist was killed in the jaws of a "gigantic shark" in a popular Cape Town holiday spot.
Sky News reports Gregg Coppen watched Lloyd Skinner being mauled by the shark tweeting: "Holy s..t. We just saw a gigantic shark eat what looked like a person in front of our house..."
He added: "That shark was huge. Like dinosaur huge."
Coppen witnessed the attack from his home near Fish Hoek beach during the height of the country's tourist season.
He later told the Cape Times that the shark was "longer than a minibus and the rubber ducks lifeguards use".
Other witnesses said the 37-year-old victim was attacked in water about two metres deep.
