A team comprising at least 20 police officers has been formed to investigate the death of a couple who were found dead in their bathroom in Valelevu, outside Suva.

Police have confirmed that the team members are from the Valelevu police station while the rest are from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

A post-mortem examination earlier this week revealed that the couple died from multiple stab wounds to their chests.
Earlier this week police forced their way into the flat after neighbours complained of a foul smell.

The couple, believed to be in a de-facto relationship, was reported missing on December 19.
So far no one has been questioned or arrested.
