A Fiji couple found dead in a pool of blood two days ago was stabbed to death, a post-mortem examination has revealed.
Police spokeswoman Corporal Suliano Tevita said the examination showed the two had died of multiple stab wounds to their chest.
Tevita said no one had been questioned or arrested yet in connection with the case.
A team of officers from the Criminal Investigations Department has been working around the clock to break open the case after the bodies were found in a flat in Valelevu outside Suva on Tuesday night.
Police forced their way into the flat after neighbours complained of a foul smell.
The couple, believed to be in a de-facto relationship, was reported missing on December 19.
