At least one person is now in police custody in connection with this week’s daring daylight $20,000 robbery at the Western Union’s Post Fiji outlet in Suva.
Police spokesman Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the suspect is in custody at the Nabua Police Station.
“We have only one man in custody right now and he is being questioned,” Sokomuri confirmed.
“Our investigations are continuing,” he said.
Four masked men walked into the outlet Tuesday morning and managed to get away with $20,000 in cash as staff and customers watched.
The four, according to police made their getaway in a vehicle registered number DN 182, after threatening a teller.
