All evacuation centres set up before Cyclone Mick have been closed and all evacuees sent home, the Disaster Management Committee has confirmed.
DISMAC also confirms that rehabilitation works are continuing throughout the country including the supply of cyclone relief to all those affected.
DISMAC acting director Pajiliai Dobui has also revealed that total cost of damage caused by Cyclone Mick is slightly less than $20 million as earlier predicted.
“Our assessment teams have returned and again we’re finalizing the actual cost of damage which is expected to be released tomorrow,” Dobui told FijiLive.
“We’re still summing the cost of damage for the outer islands like Yasawa, Kadavu and Beqa,” he said.
