Fiji’s second largest airport in Nausori re-opened this morning, after closing yesterday due to massive flooding from Cyclone Mick in the Rewa Delta area.
An airport worker said the airport re-opened this morning with an early morning flight from Nadi touching down at 5.40am.
Flood waters have not receded completely in the Nausori area with low-lying areas still affected.
The Nausori and Navua delta areas are among the worst affected by flooding caused by Cyclone Mick, which last night was on its way out of Fiji waters.
