The world's smallest mother has given birth to a healthy baby boy despite warning she would be risking her life.
According to the UK’s The Sun online newspaper, Stacey Herald, from Kentucky in the US, gave birth to 2lb 10oz Malachi on November 28.
The 35-year-old, who is just 2ft 4ins, already has two daughters with husband Wil, 27, who is 5'9.
Doctors had warned her not to have children because of the dangers to her health.
The latest birth was induced after just 32-weeks, because medics feared Stacey, would not be able to carry baby Malachi any longer.
They were worried her unborn son would crush her organs.
The Sun reports the proud mum said her husband Wil was a great support for her and the children.
“Anything I can't do, Wil can. He's great at getting up in the night and changing diapers and feeding the girls. He really is a blessing,” Stacey is reported saying.
"Malachi is having trouble feeding and some circulation problems, but the doctors say he's doing well.
"I feel heartbroken every time we have to go home and leave him in the hospital.
"We're looking forward to the day he's strong enough to come home."
Stacey suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta also known as brittle bone disease, which has stunted her growth.
She and trainee priest Wil have daughters Kateri, three, and Makya, 18 months.
