The Fiji Government has announced that its total estimated budget for 2010 is $1.706 billion, compared to $1.175b in its 2009 Budget.
Finance Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama, in announcing the budget moments ago at the Novotel Hotel in Lami, said the expected revenue is $1.86 billion.
The Government had projected revenue of $1.522 for 2009.
He also highlighted that a net deficit of $220 million was expected next year, “which is 3.5 percent of nominal GDP of $6.288b”, he said.
