The Unit Trust of Fiji will pay its unit holders over $1.9 million in total dividend payout, it said in a statement today.
UTOF declared a final dividend of 3.50 cents per unit for its financial year ended September 30, 2009, qualifying all unit holders up to that point to enjoy the return.
“Compared to last year’s final dividend of 1.39 cents per unit, this in an increase of 152 percent,” UTOF said.
“The dividend income received by resident investors is exempt from income tax and to be a unit holder in UTOF, the minimum requirement is to purchase 100 units which will cost you $141 at today’s price ($1.41 per unit). The next change in price will be on December 1, 2009.”
This year’s dividend will be paid out to unit holders on December 15th.
