The Fiji Electricity Authority is expected to announce power saving options today as the country’s main hydyo-dam continues to record low water levels.

This follows an emergency meeting the FEA had with some of its major power consumers, mainly large businesses, on Wednesday evening.

Water shortage at the dam would lead to shortage of electricity supply for the country.

The FEA had in the past imposed measures like power shedding.
