The fraud trial of three former executives of the Native Land Trust Board will go ahead next year after the trio pleaded not guilty in the High Court today.

Former NLTB member Keni Dakuidreketi, former general manager Kalivati Bakani and official Alanieta Vakatale are charged with abuse of office and conspiring to defraud the organisation of close to $4 million between March 31, 2004 and November 10, 2005.

Justice Paul Madigan has adjourned the case to January 26, 2010.

He has also handed over the case to Justice Daniel Gounder, who will preside over the trial proper.
