The former CEO of Airports Fiji Limited has pleaded not guilty to fraud-related charges in the High Court in Suva.
Sakiusa Tuisolia pleaded not guilty to eight allegations of falsification of documents and fraudulent conversion.
High Court judge Justice Daniel Gounder has adjourned proceedings and set Tuisolia’s trial date for November 25-27.
Justice Gounder ordered that the agreed facts in the case be filed by Thursday, November 19.
Tuisolia, a former senior civil servant, lost his job at AFL, a Government statutory body, when the military executed its so-called clean up campaign on December, 2006.
He was charged on February 11, 2008 by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption with 22 counts of abuse of office and 22 counts of false pretense.
He is alleged to have used the AFL-issued ANZ bank credit card for his personal use when he bought liquor in January 2005.
He also allegedly sought reimbursements from the company, when returning from official overseas trips, for his accommodation and transport even though these had been allocated for.
The charges spanned over 2005 to 2007 whilst he was at the helm of AFL.
