Two people are homeless after a fire completely destroyed their lean-to house at the weekend.

The National Fire Authority reports that they attended to the fire incident at Waidraso settlement in Sawani, Nausori at 12.39pm on Saturday afternoon to find the house “well involved”.

The 5 metre by 6 metre residential structure, made up of corrugated iron and timber, was completely destroyed in the fire, along with its contents.

The home owners were in church at the time of the fire.

The NFA is working with the Police to ascertain the cause of the fire.
