Husband questioned in murder inquiry

Police in Fiji have questioned the husband of a 35-year-old woman found dead in her Suva home on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Atunaisa Sokomuri said the husband and people that the couple was sharing their flat with had been questioned and released.

“No charges yet,” he said.

Police are treating the case as murder after a post-mortem examination showed the woman died of strangulation.

Her husband was the first to discover her body.
