Permanent secretary for Provincial Development Manasa Vaniqi is now permanent secretary for Sugar as well.

Public Service Commission chairman Josefa Serulagilagi confirmed the appointment to FijiLive.

“Vaniqi took up the post last week,” said Serulagilagi.

“He was appointed given the nature of his work. We are going to strengthen the role of the divisional commissioners,” said the PSC head.

“And they are working towards the strengthening of the sugar industry.”
