Fiji’s Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Ltd (ATH) has issued a restriction on trading in its shares on the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPSE) by all directors and staff of ATH and its group companies.

ATH chief executive officer Tomasi Vakatora issued the restriction in an internal company circular released through the SPSE, in anticipation of ATH announcing its results for the half year ended September 30, 2009, early next month.

The directive is effective from October 13 to December 4 and includes all directors and staff of ATH and its group companies including Telecom Fiji Ltd, Vodafone Fiji, Fiji Directories Ltd, Internet Service (Fiji) Ltd, Exceed Pasifika Ltd, Transtel Ltd and the recently-acquired Pacific Emerging Technologies Ltd.

“The directive applies regardless of whether you currently own shares in ATH or not,” said Vakatora. “It also applies to members of your immediate family (spouse, children, parents, brothers and sisters.”
